Snooping on UK citizens in case we break the law is just not British and technically dangerous. Don’t allow it.
Theresa May wants to know what you're up to on the internet. Not because you've done anything wrong, or because she knows you will do something wrong.
She wants to know what you're up to on the internet "just in case" you think about doing something wrong.
If I said I was going to follow you around every single day, "just in case" you were tempted to commit a crime, you'd rightly laugh in my face. Yet that's exactly what the Snooper's Charter involves. Your internet service provider will be expected to follow you around the internet, whether you're at home or at work, noting every single thing you do... "just in case".
It gets much worse though. Not only will you be followed around all day every day, the Government will have broken every single lock, meaning anyone could be watching you and taking everything you own. It'll be open season for hackers, stalkers, and cyber-criminals.
If like me you think that's completely unjust, unfair, and uncalled for, please sign this petition.
