Cornwall Motivate Day

  • 01 Feb 2025
  • 9.30 am - 4.00 pm
  • Dennison Road
    Bodmin
    Bodmin
    PL31 2JU

Do you want to stop the Tories running Cornwall?

The Conservatives are making a real mess of things at County Hall and are driving the Council towards bankruptcy.

In 12 weeks we have the chance to end the Conservatives control of Cornwall Council and turn it into a Lib Dem council working for local people.

At the 2024 General Election all the Conservative MPs were removed from Cornwall. Now we have the chance to remove them from the Council too.

To do this, we need three things:

1.  87 candidates so we can fight for every seat. If you would be interested in standing, please email anthonypdunn@gmail.com.

2.  Skilled campaigners. We have some of the Party's top trainers coming to our Cornwall Motivate Day on Saturday 1st February 10.15am - 3.30pm. We’re just asking £5 for a pasty lunch (you can select your preferred pasty with your ticket type). This is your chance to hone your skills, learn new ones and get ready to beat the Conservatives on May 1st.

3.  Practical help. While the Tories and Labour get lots of coverage in the media, we have to fight to get seen. Over the next 12 weeks we are going to need to deliver lots of leaflets and letters, knock on doors and contact voters by phone. Could you help with this? If so, please email Richard Goedegebuur at richard.goedegebuur@libdems.org.uk.

These elections are really important. Cornwall residents deserve a council that stands up for them, which they don't have that under the Conservatives. It’s time for a change.

Thank you for your support and we hope to see you on Saturday 1st Feb for our "Cornwall Motivate Day"
