Lib Dem members have been reminded to return their ballot papers by Acting Lib Dem Leader Vince Cable. In a message to members, Dr Cable stressed that the ballot closes on 15 December, and all papers must be returned by then.

Vince said:

"It is important that as many members as possible participate in the ballot. Leaders derive their authority from those who elect them, so please use your chance to have a say on the future of the Liberal Democrats.

"You should now have received your ballot paper for the election of the next Leader of the Liberal Democrats. If you have not, please contact the Returning Officer straight away on returning.officer@libdems.org.uk"
