A Fuller Bus Service For Golden Valley

15 Jun 2012
Gary Fuller

Sandgate Va lley Councillor Gary Fuller has written to Stagecoach Buses with his plan to provide a more user-friendly bus service for residents of the Golden Valley.

Gary has requested that an hourly Sunday/Bank Holiday service be introduced and that the half hourly weekday service should be extended so that buses serve Sandgate High Street as part of their route back into the town centre.

Commenting Gary said:

"I was shocked to hear from Sandgate Valley residents that during the Jubilee celebrations they would have no way of getting down to the seafront or into the town centre because of the complete lack of buses. There are a number of elderly residents and parents living in the Valley who, like me, don't own a car. It is completely unfair that they should be trapped in their homes because of a lack of affordable public transport. I'm hopeful that Stagecoach will be willing to extend their services to suit the needs of the Valley"
