Ashley Avenue Temporary Road Closure

Kent County Council has announced that due to proposed junction improvement works on the Ashley Avenue/Cheriton High Street junction in Cheriton, Folkestone, there will be a road closure on Ashley Avenue from the junction with Cheriton High Street to the access with All Soul's Church Vicarage from 22nd October for around 4 weeks.

In the District of Shepway, THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (ASHLEY AVENUE, FOLKESTONE)

(PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2007

THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

NOTICE is hereby given that because works are proposed to be carried out on or near a road the Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting the use by traffic on Ashley Avenue, Folkestone, from its junction with Cheriton High Street to its junction with the access road to the All Souls' Church Vicarage on or after 22nd October 2007 for an estimated period of four weeks, or until such junction improvement works are complete, or for a period not exceeding 18 months at such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs.

The alternative route for through traffic will be via Cheriton High Street, Somerset Road, Shaftesbury Avenue and Ashley Avenue.
