A big turnout in Thursday's election could be good news for Lib Dem Peter Carroll. If enough people come out to vote, Michael Howard will lose his seat.

Peter Carroll said, "We have had a terrific campaign in our area and I would like to thank everyone for their support."

"Everyone I meet say that it is only the Lib Dems that are talking about the real issues in our area. I urge everyone to make their vote count on Thursday."

With Labour out of the race, many former Labour supporters are switching to back the Lib Dems in the election.
