Carriageway repair works: Coolinge Lane - from 18 February
Kent County Council will be carrying out patching repairs to the carriageway of Coolinge Lane, Folkestone between its junctions with Shorncliffe Road and Audley Road starting on 18 February 2013 and taking approximately 5 days to complete.
The work is being carried out to repair potholes and areas of cracking, in advance of the proposed application of a micro asphalt surface treatment, which is currently being programmed for 6 and 7 March 2103. Additional notification will be provided for the surface treatment work nearer to the time.
During these essential works, it will be necessary to close Coolinge Lane, between Shorncliffe Road and Romney Avenue to can carry out the works safely for both the workforce and road users. Works will generally take place between the hours of 7.30am and 5pm, and the road re-opened each evening when safe to do so.
It is inevitable that residents and businesses near the works will experience some disruption, but Kent Highways will try to keep these to a minimum. Access to properties within the site will be maintained at all times although vehicle access to individual properties may need to be restricted for short periods whilst work is carried out. If you have any particular access needs, please let the workforce on the site know. A signed diversion route will be in place during the closure via Shorncliffe Road and Audley Road.
If your vehicle is usually parked on the carriageway, please make sure you park it somewhere else away from the site whilst the works are carried out.
