The Lib Dem team have been campaigning to get action on the White Lion in Cheriton for years.

After pressure, the District Council finally put an improvement notice on the site last year. Doesn’t it look better now!

Planning permission will soon be submitted for it to become a supported living project for older people including a ground floor café.

Lib Dem Folkestone Town Councillor Peter Gane is delighted. He said:

“The state of the White Lion has blighted the area for decades. It’s great to see it is now much closer to being a credit instead.”
