Come to Brighton Conference in September!

9 May 2006

Many people will have seen TV reports about our spring and autumn conferences, but too many of our members are unaware that they can also attend, either for the whole conference, or just for a day.

You do not have to be a local party representative to come along and take part in the debates, training, exhibitions and all the other meetings and events associated with the conferences (although only representatives nominated by your party can vote).

This September you have an ideal opportunity as the conference will be held at Brighton, from 16th to the 21st of September, which is easily accessible from all parts of the South East region. In order to register you can fill in the form on line at;

https://www.libdems.org.uk/conference/booking/ (there is a reduction for first time attendees)

It is possible to attend for just a day or part of a day, the charges are just £23 for a full day and £16 for an afternoon. If you bring along your membership, card this will speed the registration process.

This year on the Sunday evening the South East and South Central regions are holding a joint reception and Catherin Bearder (SE representative of the Federal Conference Committee) would love to see as many of our members as possible there to celebrate the work that is going on all across these regions.

Many of our MPs, MEPs, Peers, councillors and activists will also be there, so even if you cannot attend the conference, you are welcome to come to this event. (More information about this event will be at www.southeastlibdems.org.uk as they are confirmed)

If you have never been to a conference before or would like to know more, do contact:

Catherine Bearder

SE representative of the Federal Conference Committee

Catherine would love to be able to welcome many more new first timers to Brighton as it is such a good opportunity to be able to find out more about your party on your own doorstep.
