Community Chest Grants - Could YOUR Group apply?

Shepway Council have announced a second stage to their Community Chest funding programme, with another £35,000 available for local organisations. Grants of up to £5,000 are available for projects, plus one £20,000 grant in the year. Applications for the second phase of funding will be accepted up until 2nd November 2009.

Projects are expected to meet at least one of the following Council priorities:

  • Improve the appearance of the District
  • Serve the community
  • Create places where people want to live and work

Community Chest grants are only available to registered charities or other constituted not-for-profit groups working for the benefit of Shepway District residents.

The closing dates for the scheme are:

  • Round One - Tuesday, 1st September 2009
  • Round Two - Monday 2nd November 2009
