No Use Empty loan scheme - If you have a commercial property standing empty and requiring refurbishment in the Folkestone & Hythe district, you may be able to obtain an interest-free loan to bring it back into use for residential and/or commercial mixed-use purposes. Technology Resilience Voucher Scheme (C-Care) - This voucher scheme, which was launched on 22nd November, enables Kent-based businesses to apply for vouchers up to £1,000 to implement a digital or technology solution to help improve business resilience and economic recovery. Businesses interested in applying can also book a slot with a specialist digital advisor prior to making an application, thus ensuring maximum benefit from the scheme. Click here for further details.
The Carbon Trust Green Business Fund - This scheme provides businesses with energy efficiency support, energy assessments and grants up to £10,000 for the installation of energy efficient equipment or low carbon products. Click here for further details.
Low Carbon Across the South East (LoCase) - This aims to help businesses tackle and adapt to climate change and to become more energy efficient. Up to 40% of an investment by the business for this purpose can be awarded to a maximum of £10,000. For full details and eligibility criteria click here.
Folkestone Community Works SME Business Grant Scheme -Grants from £1,000 to £7,500 (which represents up to 40% of total costs) are potentially available to businesses located in the central, eastern and harbour areas of Folkestone. This SME business grant scheme is part of the European-funded Folkestone Community Works CLLD programme that has been secured by Folkestone & Hythe District Council. Folkestone & Hythe District High Streets Fund - This fund was established by the District Council to support improvements and encourage new and innovative ideas to help our high streets adapt and thrive. So far some 44 projects have been approved, including for shops, restaurants, dance studios and for improvements to the public realm. Grants up to £50,000 are potentially available, although organisations are expected to normally provide at least half of the total project cost. For further details click here.
Romney Marsh Business Hub Grant Scheme - Folkestone & Hythe District Council has now launched this scheme to support businesses taking up space in the new Romney Marsh Business Hub at Mountfield Road in New Romney. Grants up to £10,000 (or more in exceptional circumstances) are available for the fit-out of a bespoke design tailored to business needs, new furniture, office accessories and ICT equipment.
