Council slammed for failing children

Kent County Council left 100’s of children with special needs with no transport to school after a botched "redesign" of transport arrangements.
A review for the County Council's Scrutiny Committee found:
- The actions harmed children
- It was driven to make £2m cuts
- There was no consideration of the risks to children.
Liberal Democrat Schools Campaigner Tim Prater said:
"This report makes grim reading. It says Conservative run Kent County Council harmed vulnerable children.
"They made a £2m cut without considering the impact.
"Shameful.
“The Councillors responsible should resign."
