Cheriton Road, between Castle Hill Avenue and Radnor Park Road, will be closed from July 30 to August 6 to allow maintenance work on the road bridge near to Folkestone Central Train Station. The closure will cause disruption for many motorists heading into town from the Radnor Park roundabout near Folkestone Central Train Station.

Alternative routes include:

  • Northbound via Cheriton Road, Foresters Way, Grace Hill, Foord Road and Radnor Park Road.
  • Southbound via Foord Road, New Street, Bradstone Road, Dover Road, Grace Hill, Shellons Street, Middleburg Square, Cheriton Gardens, Shorncliffe Road and Castle Hill Avenue.

Stagecoach services will also have to be diverted as a result of the works, with bosses saying the timetable will face "slight delays" as a result.
