Double Support for the Folkestone Triennial with "The Big Arts Give"

7 Dec 2010

The Big Arts Give is doubling the value of donations made to the Folkestone Triennial from 6th - 10th December 2010. The scheme enables individuals and organisations who would like to support the Folkestone Triennial's wider education, learning and outreach work in the community to take part without committing large contributions.

Over 100 organisations from across the UK are taking part in The Big Arts Give, a new initiative to help stimulate philanthropy for arts and culture. The aim of The Big Arts Give is to raise, at least, £3 million (plus Gift Aid) for the selected charities by Christmas.

If you pledge your donation between December 6th and 10th it is automatically doubled but please only pledge it between 10am and 4pm otherwise it won't be activated!

Here are some examples of how your donations will be used:

  • £5 pays for the printing of 10 learning packs for teachers
  • £10 buys art materials for a family workshop
  • £50 pays for a free guided tour of the Triennial exhibition
  • £100 buys a half-day workshop for a local community group
