Fighting for Our Area

Fighting for our area

As a Lib Dem County Councillor, Tim Prater has fought for local services, including saving Folkestone & Sandgate main road streetlights from Tory turn-off plans. We need County Councillors who will stand up for our local services.

Getting action for local people: that's the job of a County Councillor says Elham Valley Campaigner Tom McNeice. Tom says:

"A County Councillor should stand up for local residents to the Council, not the other way around.

"I've been impressed by the work of Tim Prater in Folkestone West over the last four years. For example, he's recently secured the future of many streetlights on the A259 after they were threatened by turn-off by Kent's Conservative Council.

"He's overseen getting new bus stops, drop kerbs, improved footpaths and road safety schemes across Folkestone West.

"That's the sort of Councillor local people need."
