Fly tipping of animal bones in Church Lane, New Romney

In the last two weeks Kent Trading Standards have received two reports of fly tipping of large animals bones and other waste in CHURCH LANE, NEW ROMNEY.

The latest incident happened sometime during the night on Saturday 15th March to early Sunday morning on the 16th March.

Commercial disposal of animal by-products is controlled by the law. Fly tipping of any waste is a criminal offence. Courts have the power to issue a fine of up to £50,000 and/or 5 year imprisonment for fly tipping. How to report fly tipping

  • Report fly tipping in progress to the Police on 999 or incidents of fly tipping to the Clean Kent team on 03000 41 41 41 or intel.cleankent@kent.gov.uk
  • Record details; location, date and time you saw the fly tippers in action
  • Descriptions of the people, vehicles and rubbish e.g. builders rubble
  • Take photos if you can but do not approach any individuals
  • Remember: Do not put yourself in any danger
