Folkestone Model Railway Exhibition at The Leas Cliff Hall

It's amazing just how many people attend this event each year. It was hard to get close to the various layouts as large numbers of people waited patiently for the trains to come out of the tunnel and pass across the front of the display.

I was surprised at how many exhibitors travelled from far and wide to be at this event. The stalls displayed hand made miniature trees, station sheds, houses, boats and people. The quality is not in dispute.

I spoke to many of the visitors who had positive things to say about visiting our town and it was good to hear that they intend to visit again.

Watching the joy on the faces of the children as they climb up on their steps, hired at the entrance, to watch the trains at their favourite layouts, made it a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
