Folkestone's Youth Festival of Remembrance
There are still tickets available for the Folkestone Youth Festival of Remembrance on Saturday 13 November at the Leas Cliff Hall.
The Youth Festival of Remembrance is similar to the Royal Albert Hall's Festival of Remembrance but the unique thing about this festival is that it gives the youth of Folkestone and Shepway a chance to take centre stage and show their respect by dedicating a night to remember to all those who gave their lives in times of conflict both past and present, and also to support our armed services personnel currently serving in Afghanistan.
The festival is a perfect opportunity for the young generation of Folkestone and Shepway to show the people of the local area and rest of the UK that there is something for children to do with their lives, and that they do care about what happens in the world and also to raise money for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
The Festival is being run and organised by local volunteers within Folkestone. The festival is being sponsored by Folkestone Town Council and The Roger De Haan Charitable Trust who have donated between them £5,000 and Shepway District Council, who donated the free use of the Leas Cliff Hall for the day.
Tickets can be obtained from Leas Cliff Hall Box Office on 01303 228600.
