Folkestone Town Council have launched a series of events for children this summer and are hoping to programme further talks and walks which will be announced shortly.

Tuesday 28th July: Anglo Saxons

  • Town Hall, CT20 1DY
  • 10.30am-12.30pm

Discover what life was like in Anglo Saxon times and how we learn from our past, make your own Anglo Saxon pot, learn the art of cord winding, write a secret message in runes and see real Anglo Saxon artefacts. Thursday 20th August: Fossil Fun

  • 10.30am-12.30pm

Come and help us dig for dinosaurs, create your own fossil, see a real Mammoth's tooth, hunt for dinosaurs and learn about the creatures that left their mark on the Kent coast thousands of years ago. Explore our natural history collection and see how it measures up to world record breakers. Make your own book of records to take home and enjoy our fun record breaking activities and crafts. Ages 5-11 (all children must be accompanied by an adult). Free. Lead by Folkestone Town Council and Folkestone Library.
