Free Christmas Family Play Events
The Shepway Play MAP (Mobile Activity Programme) is a trail of play events that will take place during school holiday periods across Shepway. Play workers tour the area with a van full of toys, games and activities and deliver an exciting range of free play opportunities at play parks and halls across the area.
All children and young people aged 0-18yrs are invited to come and join in the fun at a local venue where a host of exciting toys, games and activities will greet them.
All play sessions are free of charge for all children and young people. Parents and carers are welcomed to accompany children, join in and make a family day of it.
FOR YOUR SAFETY: All children and young people are free to come and go throughout the duration of the play sessions. All staff have police checks carried out by the Criminal Records Bureau and there will always be a Qualified First Aid member of staff present. Risk assessments of the sites and play equipment are undertaken at the start of each session.
All play sessions listed below are funded by the Big Lottery and organised by Shepway District Council.
For Christmas 2009, the events will be held at:
- Mon 21st Dec (11am-3pm): Marsh Leisure Centre, New Romney
- Tue 22nd Dec (11am-3pm): Elham Village Hall
- Wed 23rd Dec (11am-3pm): Stowting Peace Hall
