Free Nepali Art Exhbition In Cheriton This Weekend

Nepali sculptor, professor and writer Dr Laya Mainali will be holding a sculpture and painting exhibition of his own works at the Gurkha Community Centre, Mackenzie Drive, Cheriton on Saturday February 16th from 2-6pm.

An associate professor at the Fine Arts campus of Tribhuban University, Dr Mainali is the son of Nepal's renowned sculptor Thakur Prasad Mainali, and has exhibited in Nepal, Thailand and Spain. His works are known for symbolism, rare imagination and focus on traditional values.

Laya Mainali was invited to exhibit in Folkestone by Cheriton ward Town Councillor Dhan Gurung. Dhan would like to invite you and all interested local residents to visit the exhibition and meet Dr Mainali on Saturday 16th.
