Free Power Saver Light Bulbs for Shepway Residents
Hundreds of energy-saving light bulbs are being given away by Shepway Council as part of national Energy Saving Week that starts on 24 October. The bulbs, which use less electricity than their traditional counterparts and cost much less to use, are a part of the council's drive to raise awareness of the importance of saving energy.
To get a free bulb, people will be asked to complete a form that asks questions about energy conservation in the home and take it to any council offices or One Stop Services. In return, Shepway Council will send the forms to the Kent Energy Advice Centre that will be able to provide energy-saving advice and also highlight grants that are available to people finding it hard to meet their fuel bills.
The orange forms can be found at council offices, local libraries and some supermarkets and shops.
