From The Independent: A Janice Update

The Independent has reported that South East England MEP Janice Atkinson is still sitting with UKIP in Brussels despite being expelled for fraud.

Janice Atkinson was removed at the last minute as UKIP Parliamentary Candidate for Folkestone and Hythe, following revelations she sought a receipt £3,150 for a meal in Margate that cost "just" £950 in order to inflate her expense claim. After the story came to light, she was thrown out of UKIP in March and is currently facing a police investigation for fraud.

Her continued membership of the right-wing political grouping allows UKIP to claim higher levels of funding and staffing allowances from the EU Parliament.
