Fuller Reports Dog Mess and Damaged Bin in Military Road Play Park

17 Apr 2011

Local Lib Dem campaigner Gary Fuller has reported various issues affecting the Childrens Play Area in Military Road in Sandgate, including dog mess and a damaged bin. The dangerous dog mess in question was left by an unscrupulous dog owner right next to a slide meant for younger children and toddlers.

Gary, who was shocked by the blatant disregard shown for the young children using the park, has also reported damage to a bin meant for dog mess. The door to the bin had been ripped off leaving sharp edges which could potentially hurt a child.

Commenting, Gary said:

"It is truly disturbing that some dog owners care so little for others that they would leave unsafe dog mess right next to a slide used by very young children. It is also disturbing that a dog mess bin has been left in such a state that it could cause harm to children.

"I've called upon Conservative run Shepway District Council to get on with repairing this bin and to get wardens out to find the culprit who is putting children at risk, and who is damaging the good name of the vast majority of responsible dog owners in Sandgate."
