Gary Gets a Waxing for Comic Relief

11 Apr 2011

Local Lib Dem Campaigner Gary Fuller helped raise money for Comic Relief recently by having his legs and arms waxed, having his hair dyed and by letting his students apply Liberal quantities of make-up to his face!

Gary, who teaches Functional Maths at a Local FE College, allowed students to wax, dye and apply make-up to him on Red Nose Day in order raise money for the excellent projects funded by Comic Relief. His personal tally of £150 raised online, contributed to the more than £500 raised by his students and the nearly £900 raised by the College at which he teaches.

Commenting, he said:

"It was an honour to be able to contribute something to the excellent work done by Comic Relief, despite the pain. My students worked really well to set this up and they thoroughly enjoyed getting their revenge on me for teaching them Maths. My only real complaint is they missed a few spots."
