Gary's Six to Fix for Sandgate & West Folkestone
Local Lib Dem Gary Fuller has outlined his six to fix if elected to Shepway District Council today.
Gary's six priorities for Sandgate & West Folkestone, as well as Shepway as a whole are:
- 20MPH speed limits in all residential streets that wish to have them, as well as near all schools, putting residents and children first.
- Better mobile phone coverage to reflect the changing needs of internet users locally, especially young people and professionals.
- Replacing all outdated street lighting with greener and more efficient LED lighting, along with removing all rusting stumps.
- A proper business and tourism strategy for Sandgate, that recognises how Sandgate has evolved in recent years.
- A proper local housing strategy that preserves larger buildings and delivers the affordable new build we need.
- Proper access to free talking therapies for Shepway residents, in place of currently inadequate signposting.
Commenting, Gary said:
"I want to see improvements in Shepway begin from the ground up. We need a safer district, improved services, affordable housing, and increased wellbeing for all residents. My six to fix represent just a few of my personal priorities if elected to Shepway District Council today."
