He's not going to Love THAT

31 Jul 2013

Shepway Conservative Councillor and Cabinet Member Rory Love has long had aspirations to "go further" in politics. He's previously stood for the Conservatives as a Parliamentary Candidate in Lewes in 2005 (he got hammered by sitting Lib Dem MP Norman Baker), and stood to be on the Conservative Euro list list for South East England in 2004 (although he didn't make it to the election itself).

Still, he's a trier. He's reapplied to be on the Conservative European Election list for South East England in 2014. Could he get himself into an electable position?

Er - No.

The Conservatives South East of England European List for 2014 has just been published. And Rory's 9th on it.

For Rory be elected, the Conservatives would need 90% of the vote across the South East England European Constituency.

It ain't going to happen. Sorry Rory.
