Host of Awards for Gurkha Justice Campaign & Joanna Lumley [Updated Dec 2010]
One of the proudest experiences of my life has been my involvement in the Gurkha Justice Campaign through to May this year when we finally won our aim - a fair deal for Gurkhas to settle in the UK. Over the past few weeks, the campaign, and star figurehead Joanna Lumley, has picked up a number of awards for its work, including:

There have been various other awards for the campaign over the last year, including in November 2008 the Ross McWhirter Foundation Award (http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/71296/5,000-a-day-back-our-Gurkha-crusade/), the 2009 Political Studies Association "Influencing the Political Agenda" award (http://www.psa.ac.uk/PSAAwards2009.aspx). Joanna Lumley has also been awards a Scouts Association 2009 Birthday Honours Communicators badge for her work with the campaign (http://www.essexscouts.org.uk/news/articles.php?storyid=9RtA).
Key Gurkha Justice Campaign member Dhan Gurung was also awarded a Kent County Council 2009 BME Award (http://shepwaylibdems.org.uk/news/001652/) for his work for the campaign.
I'm trying to compile a full list - any more I've missed?
