How To Make Parking Harder: Shepway Style
Folkestone's Forrester Way car park was recently resurfaced by Shepway District Council: really welcomed and not before time.
However, following the resurfacing, the parking spaces that were previously set at an angle to allow easy pulling into and out of the spaces into the narrow service lane have now been painted at right angles.
Is it just me, or does this make getting into and out of spaces - especially when the car park is mainly full - much harder, without creating many more spaces?
Which Shepway Council committee discussed, considered and agreed the reconfiguration of that car park, or was it simply decided by officers? Did Shepway consult with the public, car park users or even Folkestone Town Council?
