For many months, a planning application on Dunstall Lane in St Mary's Bay has been causing huge controversy within the community.

Residents of Seaway Gardens were shocked to find workmen building what looks like an emergency access on their road into the site.

St Mary's Bay Councillor, Julie White, said "It's very alarming when things happen without warning. I have written to the Council to find out what's going on and will keep residents informed."
