KEiBA 2011: Still time to enter

3 Mar 2011

There is still time for businesses to enter the 2011 Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA). The entry deadline is Friday, 11 March. This is the third year for these awards, which recognise and celebrate the very best of business in Kent.

There are 12 categories to suit all types and size of business, including Large Business of the Year and Start-up of the Year. There are also three new categories this year:

  • Best Science and/or Technology Business
  • Business Commitment to the Environment
  • Apprenticeship of the Year.

Businesses can enter via the KEiBA website: www.keiba.co.uk

Finalists will be invited to a celebration dinner at Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone, in June where winners will be announced and presented with a coveted glass trophy.

The awards scheme is staged and produced by Kent County Council and the KM Group and aims to recognise excellence in business across Kent and Medway.

Geraldine Allinson, Chairman of the KM Group, said:

"2010 was undoubtedly another difficult year - and so it could not be more important to acknowledge, through KEiBA, those local businesses that have met the challenges of the ongoing downturn with innovation, drive and prudent financial management - and, of course, sheer hard work.

"I would urge all of Kent's businesses to enter KEiBA this year - awards are one of the most powerful and cost-effective marketing tools and winning a prestigious KEiBA can help businesses to stand out from the crowd, boost staff morale, send a positive message to customers and attract new ones."

KEiBA 2011 is sponsored by: Brachers LLP, Southeastern, Visit Kent, Headley Brothers, IOD, Heart FM, Vertex Law, Kent Foundation, Skanska, Kent Apprenticeships, Denne, HRGO, KCC Sustainability, Belmont International, Southern Water, EMC Management Consultants and University of Kent.
