Kent Highways: Temporary Closure of A260 Spitfire Way, Hawkinge for resurfacing

Notice is given that because of the resurfacing of A260 Canterbury Road and White Horse Hill roundabout, the Kent County Council has made an order prohibiting traffic on A260 Spitfire Way, Hawkinge from 20 September 2010 for 2 nights or until the works have been completed.

Spitfire Way will be closed between the junctions with A260 Canterbury Road and Haven Drive / Swann Way. The slip roads linking the White Horse Hill roundabout to and from the coastbound carriageway of the A20 will also be closed under a separate Highways Agency Traffic Order.

The alternative routes are as follows:

  • To reach the A20 - via M20 Junction 13, A259 Churchill Avenue and A260 Canterbury Road
  • For Spitfire Way via White Horse Hill and Canterbury Road.
