Kent Police Special Update June 2013 - Criminal Damage in Cheriton

PCSOMB
24 Jun 2013

I am currently investigating several reports of Criminal Damage to parked vehicles in Surrenden Road and Harcourt Road, which occurred on Friday 21st June at approx. 11:05 pm.

A group of approx. 30 young persons aged between 14-18 years old where seen by local residents kicking wing mirrors off and climbing over vehicles. This has resulted in hundreds of pounds worth of damage. It would appear that the group came from the direction of the polo ground and after causing several counts of criminal damage may have proceeded towards Cheriton Recreation Ground, then on towards the area near to the BP Petrol Station.

For those of you who live around Cheriton Recreation Ground I would ask you to double check your own vehicles to see if there is any recent criminal damage.

Should you have either seen or heard any thing from this incident please contact me directly on 077722260555.

Due to the high level of damage this incident will be discussed further in the next Residents Meeting, which is scheduled for Saturday 27th July. Venue for the meeting is Cheriton Library, and we shall commence promptly at 11:00 am, I would be grateful if you could inform your neighbours.
