Kent Police update January 2012 - Cheriton, Morehall and Sandgate
This is the update for the month of January 2012, for the Cheriton, Morehall & Sandgate areas.
PCSO Mark Ball investigated recent reports of criminal damage in Station Road, Hawkins Road and Shaftesbury Avenue. The 4 Asian/oriental males were identified upon viewing local CCTV. Full details of the group were confirmed at a local school, resulting in each member of the group being cautioned and questioned at Folkestone Police Station.
On Tuesday 3rd January 2012 PCSO's Lesley Jarman and Mark Ball responded to a report of a tree obstructing the road of Cherry Garden Avenue. The officers set in place a cordon and redirected traffic, and called for the Highways Agency to attend. PCSO's James Chadwick and Tara Liam also attended in order to assist.
On Saturday 7th January 2012 whilst conducting house to house enquiries in relation to linked reports of criminal damage in Kings Road, Roman Way and Wells Road, PCSO Mark Ball stopped and spoke with a known male he believed may be responsible for the incidents. The male verified his level of involvement and named the main person responsible, who was subsequently arrested.
PCSO Mark Ball conducted enquiries at Folkestone West Train Station in relation to a report of criminal damage caused by a group of young persons who had run towards the direction of the station. Upon viewing CCTV, although the group attempted to hide their features, Officer Ball was successful in identifying 2 of the group.
In response to recent reports of large volumes of young persons loitering on the private grounds of Saga, PCSO Mark Ball conducted a high visibility foot patrol and located a small group who were trespassing. The individuals were moved on from the area, and Saga security was informed.
PCSO Mark Ball conducted enquiries in relation to a report of a male sending indecent images of himself to young girls. By searching through the social network sites, a facial photo of the male and what college he attends was established. This information has now been passed to the appropriate police department.
Whilst on routine patrol in Cheriton High Street, PCSO James Chadwick and PCSO Mark Ball stopped a group of young persons who were drinking alcohol. All bottles were confiscated and the group was moved on from the area.
