Kent Primary School Applications Start 8 November

3 Nov 2010

Is your child due to start school in September 2011? Parents can apply for primary school places between Monday 8 November 2010 and Saturday 15 January 2011. Thousands of families from Kent will submit applications for up to three schools of their choice.

The easiest way to apply is online. Last year about 13,500 families did just that for their primary school preferences. Parents can find out more at www.kent.gov.uk/ola.

Kent County Councillor and Governor at a Folkestone Primary School, Tim Prater, commented:

"We're lucky in Shepway to have a wide range of great Primary Schools - it must be difficult to choose between them!

"All parents are able and welcomed to visit schools before making their choices - and by acting now, there should be plenty of time to meet with Headteachers and look around before making a final decision."
