Kent Try Angle Awards 2012: Nominations Now Open!

20 Mar 2012

Nominations are now open for the Kent Try Angle Awards 2012 to recognise and celebrate exceptional young people across Kent who are trying to DO THEIR BEST.

You can nominate a person or group to nominate - they must be between 11-18 years (or up to 25 years for young people with a disability). Nominees should have demonstrated that they are real triers in one of the following categories:

  • Personal Excellence in the Arts, Music, Sports or Outdoor Activity
  • Volunteering and Service to the Community or being a Good Friend or Carer
  • Special achievement in education or after-school activities
  • Bravery
  • Citizenship and Environment

Nominations close on 13th April and there is more information including an online application form at http://www.kent.gov.uk/education_and_learning/youth_service/try_angle_awards_2012.aspx

The Try Angle Awards were introduced in 1994 to raise the profile of the vast majority of young people - aged 11-18 years - who really TRY, often with little recognition, to DO THEIR BEST!
