Labour Give up the Ghost in Folkestone

14 May 2004

Commenting on the published list of nominations for the forthcoming Town and Parish Council elections, Lib Dem Campaigner Peter Carroll said;

"The most striking thing about the candidates for the forthcoming local elections is that there is not one single Labour candidate in Folkestone or Sandgate.

"This shows that Labour have given up the ghost and are not even able to fight in the largest town in our area. This is proof positive that Labour are finished in Shepway and the main battle here is between the Conservatives and the Lib Dems."
