Lib Dem Leadership Campaigns Come to Shepway

28 May 2015
Antony Hook

The Party Leadership campaigns of both Tim Farron and Norman Lamb are both aiming to send representatives to the Shepway New Member Welcome event on Saturday 30th May.

The Leadership campaign representatives will speak for a few minutes each on behalf of their candidates, and be available for the rest of the evening for questions and discussion. As every Party member who joins prior to 4pm on the 3rd June 2015 will receive a vote in the leadership election, its an excellent chance to learn more about the candidates AND meet the team here in Shepway. All Party members are welcome to attend free of charge.

Tim Farron will be represented by Antony Hook - a well known figure across South East England having been a lead member of the European Campaign in 2014. Norman Lamb's campaign are yet to confirm their representative.

For members that would prefer to hear from the candidates directly, there will be hustings (speeches and question and answer sessions) across the country over the next few weeks, with the closest event to Shepway being in London on 17th June. A full list of the hustings is at http://www.libdems.org.uk/leadership_events and any member is welcome to attend any of the organised hustings meetings.
