Lib Dem Questions now on-line

26 Nov 2004

Shepway's Lib Dem Council Group have set up a new way to access information about the work they are doing at the District Council.

The Group have set up a new web page, accessed through the Local party's main website, that gives details on the questions they have asked at recent Council meetings.

Leader of the Lib Dem Group at Shepway, Cllr David Dickinson said "We ask these questions at full Council meetings to highlight areas of Council work or policy that we are concerned about. We have always been keen to tell the public what our group is doing, and since we ask these questions mainly to highlight areas of concern, it seems right that we do all we can to publicise both the questions and the answers we receive."

Deputy Leader of the Council Group, Cllr Lynne Beaumont said "We hope that by reading our new webpage people will be able to be more informed about the controversial decisions the Council is making every month, and what the Lib Dem Group are doing to stand up for local people."

The web page can be found at www.shepwaylibdems.org.uk/pages/Councillor-Questions.html or through the main website at www.shepwaylibdems.org.uk
