Shepway Lib Dem Youth and Students (SLDYS) have today staged a protest outside the Conservative Party's HQ in Folkestone.

The group of young Lib Dems carried with them a giant invoice from the people of Shepway to the local Conservatives.

Chair of SLDYS, Sam Matthews said "The invoice we are holding today is simply a symbol of the Conservative's legacy in Shepway. They have left the District Council in a terrible state meaning that services that local people - young and old - depend on are now under threat."

"I speak to lots of young people locally and we all agree we want to see more services available in our area, not less. The Conservatives should apologise for having left the Council in such difficulties."
