Shorncliffe Trust's 2014 event: Light in the Darkest Hour

The Shorncliffe Trust are holding an evening commemoration on 6th August at Shorncliffe Military Cemetery to mark the 100th anniversary of the battle of the Somme 1916.

The cemetery event opens to the public at 7.30pm, with service from 8.00pm - 9.00pm and departure by 9.30pm.

This event is supported by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the Royal British Legion as part of the Somme 100 Commemoration 2016.

Please advise the Chairman of the Shorncliffe Trust Chris Shaw chris.shaw@shorncliffe-trust.org.uk if if you wish to light a lantern and dedicate it to someone, a regiment or association. A suggested donation for lanterns is £5.
