M20 Junction 10 Improvements Completed
A £7m scheme to upgrade junction 10 of the M20 at Ashford, Kent to allow it to cope with increased traffic from new homes has been completed. The scheme involved the widening and creation of extra lanes and the construction of a new bridge.
Housing developer Taylor Woodrow funded the work which started in August 2006, and is part of wider plans to upgrade road links in the area over the next five years. A new M20 slip road to the south east of the enlarged junction 10 (between Ashford and the Canterbury / Hythe J11 exit) and the transformation of the town's ring road are expected to be completed by 2013.
