Maggie Sheldrake

It is with great sadness Shepway Liberal Democrats learned of the sudden death of Maggie Sheldrake over the weekend.

Maggie was a longtime member of the Liberal Democrats, and served as a Folkestone Town Councillor for Park ward from 2007-2011 and President of Shepway Liberal Democrats until quite recently.

Tim Prater, who led the Liberal Democrat Group on Folkestone Town Council from 2007-2011, said:

"Maggie was the most lovely person and commited member and supporter of the Liberal Democrats you could ever meet. All of our thoughts and wishes are with her family and friends."

Friends are invited to Maggie's funeral service on Wednesday 14th October at 11.15 at Holy Trinity Church, Sandgate Road, Folkestone, and then afterwards to the Crematorium.

There will then be a gethering at the Grand Hotel, the Leas. Family have requested that people wear colours, the brighter the better.
