Neil Matthews: "I enjoyed getting to Henley and supporting the campaign there - I hope to be back again soon!"

Liberal Democrat Parliamentary spokesman for Folkestone & Hythe, Neil Matthews, has joined Liberal Democrats from across the country in helping in the Party's campaign in Henley-on-Thames. Henley faces a by-election following the election of MP Boris Johnson as the Mayor of London, and the Liberal Democrats are the clear challengers to the Conservatives for the seat.

Neil visited the Thame Campaign HQ for Henley-on-Thames and helped with the campaign on Sunday 19th May. He was joined for the trip by Shepway Lib Dem activists Paul Kincaid and Darren Briddock, and added to the list of Shepway Lib Dems who have already been supporting the campaign, including Sam Matthews, Tim & Season Prater, Shaun Roberts & Miranda Roberts who is acting as the Henley Campaign Manager.

Miranda Roberts said:

"The support from Shepway is already fantastic: our HQ simply would not be operational without Darren's support, and members from Shepway are here and working on the campaign on a really regular basis - it's great to see them!

"The Lib Dem campaign is up and running strongly and we have a great candidate for Henley in Stephen Kearney. We hope to welcome even more members from Shepway - and indeed from across the whole country - soon!"
