NO2ID Street Campaigns in Dover and Folkestone this weekend

9 Mar 2007
UK National Identity Card (Design Mock-up)

NO2ID is the campaign against compulsory Identity Cards and the national ID database. The Liberal Democrats have been strong supporters of the NO2ID campaign for years, both locally and nationally. You can learn more about the Lib Dem Campaign against ID cards at www.libdems.org.uk/noidcards/

A new Dover, Deal and Folkestone Branch of NO2ID has been formed, and will be holding active street petition / campaign sessions in Dover and Folkestone on 10 March and want YOUR help. NO2ID is an independent campaign organisation with members of all parties and none, and local Lib Dems Tim Prater, Season Prater and Darren Briddock attended their recent meeting in Dover.

The street stalls will start from 10am in Dover (home of one of the first Government "interview" centres for new passport applications) and 2pm in Folkestone, and any help that can be offered at either (or both!) would be really welcomed. The stalls will be handing out NO2ID leaflets and collecting fingerprint petition signatories - give us your fingerprint before the Government forces you to!
