November Update from the Save Princes Parade Campaign
There is a Folkestone and Hythe District Council cabinet meeting being held on 12th December at 5pm where the Princes Parade business case will be discussed. The council have given notice that they intend to exclude the public for at least part of the meeting: the Save Princes Parade committee will be challenging that decision on your behalf.
On the fundraising front the next event will be 'Party for the Parade' on 30th November at The Fountain, Seabrook from 8pm.
The event is being hosted by Jack Pound of The Rattlaz who are the headline act for the evening. Additional artists performing for Party for the Parade will be Lorraine Lucas, Diane Dunn and many more. Please invite all of your friends. There will be calendars and Christmas cards for sale at the event as well as a raffle. If you are a local business then donation of raffle prizes will be gratefully received.
Thanks to Dee and her fundraising team Wednesday's ladies' night was a great success. Including the calendars and Christmas cards we raised £228.80. Thanks to Chris for the cards and calendars. And thanks to The Fountain for hosting us.
The 2019 calendars cost is £10 - all proceeds to SPP. If you would like to buy one please email membership@saveprincesparade.org with your address and I will arrange to get one to you. They are also available in The Chocolate Deli in Hythe High Street.
Jim ran the New York City Marathon on 4th November in a fantastic time of 5 hours and 2 minutes. He has raised £924 in aid of Save Princes Parade so he is nearly at the £1,000 target. If you haven't done so already please sponsor him on the GoFundMe page: https://www.gofundme.com/save-prince039s-parade and let's see if we can make that target.
