Opening of the new Lower Radnor Park Playground

FMTMN

Children from Stella Maris, Folkestone Primary and Secondary Academies, Mundella Primary and The Brook Centre joined the representatives from various groups, to officially open the newly refurbished Lower Radnor Park Playground.

The children from the 4 schools had all participated in the designing of the playground and enjoyed showing us how the equipment can be used. Speeches were made and photographs taken, with a pupil cutting the ribbon at the moment of official opening.

It was good to speak to the children and staff of the schools and also to congratulate the departments and agencies who provided the funds for this worthwhile venture. Folkestone needs safe places for children and young people to play and this is an excellent example of such a place.
