Local pensioners have been let down by Conservative and Labour Governments

Nobody has fought harder for local pensioners than Lib Dem Peter Carroll over the last five years.

From campaigns to save local post offices, to battling for fairer pensions and opposing the closure of hospital services that care for elderly residents, Peter has fought year after year for local pensioners.

Peter Carroll said, "It's a disgrace that many local pensioners are living in near poverty conditions. Many remember that it was the last Tory Government broke the earnings link with pensions."

The Lib Dems want to make sure local pensioners get a fair deal. Priorities include better state pensions, scrapping the Council Tax and introducing free care for the elderly. Peter Carroll said, "As our local MP, I will fight to put local pensioners first."
