Princes Parade Planning Application Submitted by Shepway District Council

Princes Parade

The Princes Parade Planning Application, ref Y17/1042/SH, has now been submitted and validated by Shepway DC (who are also the applicant!). It can be found on the council's website via this link:

https://searchplanapps.shepway.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=OV593HNZKSO00

The details can be viewed by first clicking on the 'Documents' tab and then on 'View associated documents'.

In brief, this is a Hybrid application for mixed use development comprising principally an OUTLINE application for up to 150 residential dwellings and commercial (including hotel) uses, plus a FULL application for a leisure centre of gross internal area 2,961 sq m.

For comparison, it may be of interest that the planning application (Y15/1136/SH) for the proposed leisure centre on Hythe Green had an internal area of 4,472 sq m, that is 51% larger than what is now proposed.
