Profoundly Ashamed of the Government
Local Labour spokesman Adrian Cirket has called for "the majority of Labour voters to vote for Labour" at the next election.
Leaving aside the obvious logic deficit and lack of ambition, when Labour MP Clare Short says she is "profoundly ashamed of the Government", you have to ask who could bring themselves to be a Labour voter these days. Support the Blair/Brown Labour Party? You have got to be joking.
Anger continues to grow amongst ex-Labour supporters at Labour's support for the war in Iraq, their position on the Middle East, student tuition fees, ID cards, a new generation of nuclear power and weapons, and their sleaze, incompetence and media spin.
Many people who used to vote Labour now vote positively for the Liberal Democrats as we are promising real environmental action, to scrap the unfair Council Tax, stand up against ID cards, abolish student tuition fees, and more.
Labour have been wiped out in Shepway, with not a single Councillor elected in their name. People don't just not vote Labour because they can't win here, they also don't vote Labour because they don't want them to win anymore either.
